Pick To Win: Back To Place
a betting method by Michael Ellerby
Forget what you think you know about place betting. my method will open your eyes and fill your account with consistent winners and big returns, read below to find out more...

You know when you look at your betting account and think, "this is hopeless", that was me last year.

I'd pick a couple of winners and think I'd turned the corner only to hit a long losing run. What kept me going is my picks were almost winning. I should have seen it sooner but you get consumed by what you know, what you've been told and what you are used to.

Then it hit me. Why have the ups and downs of winners and losers when I could bag a profit over and over again by looking at smaller odds.

Now you may already be thinking, "this isn't for me", I don't like small returns, but just give me a few minutes as the returns using my Power Place Tips are not small at all.

I saw my betting account go from having the odd green winning bet with lots of red losses in between the wins to seeing screens full of green! I went on a winning run of 13 days, every single day making a profit. I have had losing days since then but the winning ones more than cover those.

And all it took was one small tweak...

Making one small tweak to my betting saw my strike rate boost from 22% to a staggering 64%

A very simple tweak at that. I went from backing horses to win to backing them to place in the race.

For anyone not familiar with Place Betting thats when the horse finishes in the top 2, 3, 4 or 5 places in the race. Its really simple when you think about it. Having 2-5 chances of seeing a return instead of just 1 makes sense. Obviously the odds are reduced but when you're winning that often its not an issue.

THIS IS NOT EACH WAY BETTING!

A lot of people get confused and think a place bet is the same as an each way bet, it isn't.

When you back a horse each way, your stake gets doubled, so say you bet on a horse at 7/1 and go each way with a £10 stake, you are really staking £20, £10 on the horse to win and £10 on it to finish in the paid places, the odds you get are a fraction of the winning odds, usually 1/4 or 1/5. You will win more with an each way bet if the horse wins, thats why a lot of people use this type of bet, but to make a profit from an each way bet at 1/5 odds if the horse doesn't win, the odds need to be above 5/1. An each way bet that finishes in the places at 5/1 breaks even, no profit is mate.

With a place bet you place a set stake at set odds for the horse to finish in the specified amount of places, you get no more if it wins but you can back a 3/1 horse to place and make profit if it places.

Another advantage of place betting is that you get to specify how many places you're betting on. With an each way bet the "terms" are selected for you, just looking at a random selection:

If you bet on this horse each way, you'd get 3 places and 1/5 odds as the terms. There's no way to change that, that's what the bookie is offering.

Now if you look at the Place Market for this race, you can see below that we have more options:

We can choose the same 3 places or we can bet on 4 places or 5 places. The odds decrease but this service is about picking up winners and when you can pick winners as often as I am doing, there is only one thing to do...

Multiply Them...

Low odds suddenly turn into much bigger returns. If you're still not sure that a winning place treble would pay out that much, take a look at this one...

That's better than a 11/1 winner!

Start looking at 4-fold and you can go even bigger, even when the odds on each selection don't break past evens...

That's better than a 12/1 winner coming in!

Of course, not all bets are winners and not all returns are as big as these, I just wanted to show you that there is value in place betting.

And all the horses have to do is finish in the paid places.

As I mentioned earlier the bookies offer multiple options on the place markets. Normally you're looking at:

2 paid places in a race with 5-7 runners
3 paid places for 8 and over
4 paid places for the big races with loads of runners, I think its about 16.

But you don't only have that option, they will often offer other place markets, like 3 paid places in a 6 runner race. The odds are reduced but you're only looking to beat 3 horses in that scenario.

This gives us an even bigger advangate, instantly increasing our ability to pick up the win.

So why don't more punters and tipsters use this method?

There's one crucial factor that stops people winning with place betting!

They start picking horses they think will place. If you don't see the problem here its ok, you'd assume that is what you should do. This is where many place tipsters fail!

The crucial factor, is that you should always pick for the win. This is when the extra places come into play. Pick the horse you think would win the race, if it comes 2nd or 3rd, we still win. Picking a horse thinking it has a "chance" of placing is the main factor most place tipsters and punters fail.

This is what I saw happening over and over again with my win bets. The odd one would win, then I'd have 4 out of the next 5 finish 2nd or 3rd. Backing these "win picks" to place saw me jump from 1 win in 6 to 4 wins in 6.

How much can you make from my
Power Place Tips?

That's like asking how long a piece of string is, if you place £1 bets on them you'll win less than if you place £50 on them but I average around 18pts profit per month, to my £50 stakes thats £900 from placing 1 place multiple bet per day.

If you only put £10 on per bet you're looking at about £180 per month.

I might not be as much as some people claim to make on the horses but the honest truth is most of those claims are complete BS. They'll tell you, you can make £4,000 per month from small stakes. Do you really think the bookies are going to let people do that over and over?

Now I'm not promising you all that. I'm promising profit, averaging around 18pts profit per month.

All I want you to do is try it out, see what its really like having a sea of gree will your betting account.

If you are serious about making profits from your betting then here's what you need to know about the service I offer:

- It runs Monday to Saturday.
- 1 Place Multiple Bet per day.
- Bets are sent via email.
- Emails will be sent each morning.
- You can use most bookies to place your bets (some will call the Place Market - "Top 3 Finish" etc.

I suggest you go to your bookie and open up a race, find one with 8 runners or more and see if the place market is available before purchasing a membership, or be willing to open a new bookie account. Using the exchange is possible but they do not allow you to place multiples so it would mean placing bet by bet and putting the full return from the first bet on the next and so on.
